Neither did I, especially for the live stats. I used the ages footy page for live stats.

I've just tried it (because of your post) and it seems to have improved. I haven't been able to get it to load for a year or so, same goes for the sydneyswans.com.au

It's totally Mac-unfriendly (and let's not get into a PC v Mac debate please - I use both platforms equally).

The AFL took ages to respond to an email I sent asking why I was getting the "barberspoles" all the time. Basically I was told that that's the way it is, and perhaps I should contact my ISP. I mean, if most other sites in the world can have either type of computer access their content - troublefree - what has 780 gazillion dollars bought them?

Its crap - and they ought to be completely ashamed of it. As a Swans supporter it positively galls me that I cannot support my own club because of their ineptness.

Might be time for a letter to Driver Ave.

I'm on a Mac and my browser of preference is Safari and last year the AFL Site would not load properly, now it does load properly so they must've done something there, not that I have much interest in going there I'd prefer to use the age site.

I just read your post Cher, and lo & behold you are right. Demetriou must have accidentally dropped his wallet at the web designers office or something. It sure took long enough for them to sort it out.

And I also agree with you re: your press preference. I tend to go to the "holy trinity" myself. The Age/SMH, the Oz and the Hun.

I clicked there (the dreaded AFL website) to see if I could find some results from this weekends practice and not so practice matches and the site has gone. All it has is a header and footer and nothing else!!

That's because it's gone all Flash, and you probably have blocked Flash (wise move) in your browser.

Funny thing is if you do a google search for afl.com.au or one of the club sites it tells you "this site may harm your computer"

No I don't have flash blocked (well not purposely) but both Safari and Firefox seem to be unable to read some or maybe they block some flash content.

More like "Trying to access this site especially the big pond video content may harm your computer when you throw something at it"
