    Our 1000th club win imminent...

Should we win next Saturday's game against Richmond at the SCG, it will be the club's 1000th win.

It will have taken 111 seasons, for an overall winning percentage of 46% of all games played. We've lost 1152 games in that time (53%), and drawn 22 (1%).

Since the club came good in 1996, our winning rate has improved to 57% of all games played. It we can keep this up, how long will it take to balance the overall win-loss ledger at 50%?

According to my calculations, dropping the 0 and carrying the 1, adding the obvious possibility of many variables....

        A BLOODY LONG TIME!

If we average 12-13 wins (57%) per season then it would take us about 38 years to square the ledger.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

My calculations obviously helped you come to that conclusion.

Invaluable DA. Although my shoes and socks had to come off to help though.

As long as it was only your shoes and socks when it came to carrying the 1.

It's a cold day in Sydney so that wasn't an option.

If we win, it would be nice if some sort of message was put on the screens at the SCG to let everyone know.
