Who is the most tackled player?

Just wondering who you think the most tackled player in the AFL is? ie who GETS tackled most often.

Luke Ablett is an admirably hard, in-and-under player who works tirelessly all day at being first at the ball and productive clearer when in space... but has anyone noticed how often he's on the receiving end of a tackle (not always conceeding a free, though)?

He seems much improved in this area, but still gets tackled far too easily, especially for a guy with his strength. Ablett's problem is that his first couple of steps are just too slow, which is why he can't effectively tag quicker players, like Judd and Dal Santo, but seems to so well enough on strong but slower players like Luke Hodge.

Hard to say what will eventually become of Nog. There's a lot to like about him, a solid player with generally good skills and footy brain, but can be very inaccurate with his kicking, especially for goal, and then there's the slowness off the mark problem which I think liead to him being tackled so often.

It's a shame about his kicking, as we all know he can really kick it long and would be a valuable pressure forward if he could only kick it between the sticks. I'm think that Bevan might eventually take his role in the midfield.

Gee GS I dont reckon his stats back your ascertions up. I see him more of an outside sheep dog type player who doesn't do enough hard close in stuff, and I dont reckon he gets to enough contests, mainly because of lack of pace. Hence players get the ball off to him but he is as slow as a wet week getting rid of it. He got 2 HTB against him last week when he had plenty of time to give off by hand after centre clearance, clear takes. I am really surprised to see him in the Leadership Group

Bevo had a similar weakness but seems to have improved his hands off work quite a bit, and apart from one last week is not appearing to try to barge through.

In our house, we regularly scream at "take-it-to-the-ground Benny" and "take-it-to-the-ground Luke". They're both as slow as wet weeks in getting rid of the ball (or they've been instructed to do so to create stoppages). Sometimes I think they unfairly get pinged for HTB, but I think the umps are aware of their tendency to make very little effort to get rid of the pill. They both need to take a leaf out Brett Kirk's book who seems to have an uncanny knack of disposing of the ball virtually before he's received it.

I don't know about the most tackled, but he wins the 'Most dodgy holding the ball decisions against' hands down.

It appears that between him and his cousin they have 5 secs to dispose of the ball when tackled. Gary Jnr uses 4.5 secs of the combined allotted time.

He was the victim of yet another one against Port when he had no opportunity whatsoever but still got pinged.
