Pretty rough on the game winner...

Schmidt dropped this week for Kennelly.

Personally, I thought Bird should have gone...

Roosy seems to have a habit of making Schmidt the whipping boy.

Was shafted a few times last year as well.

Schmidt will be wondering what he has to do. He was one of our best in the last quarter. Roosy is obsessed with the thought of Irish, Mattner and Eski all playing off the backline together. The problem is, 2 of them are coming off injuries, and Eski is still way off his best form....But then again, it is the toothless ones, could be a form maker for Mal.

Probably should have been LRT. I know, tall for a small isn't a very balanced swap (though Kennelly IS 190 cm), but given that Richo is on the wing and Deledio has been playing forward, I think we could have afforded it.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Kennelly shouldn't be playing and neither should Malceski.

Schmidt could do himself a favour and lose a few pounds around the ass. Is defininately carrying a bit.

Yep, totally agree. I think it's a shame for Schmidtty, thought kicking that goal under pressure the way he did would have guaranteed him a spot at least for this week.
I reckon Mal looked like he could do with a run in the ressies and I hate the thought of bringing Tiger back again to soon (like last year).

Eski looked nowhere near ready for senior selection last week. Be good to see if he improves. David Parkin reckons Swans will blouse The Tigers, hope he's at least half right.

Limited ground time though. I thought he was good in the last qtr - certainly better than anything Bird did. Should've been Bird or LRT to go in my opinion.

We need to remember Schmidt was coming off an injury and didn't have a lot of game time. He does have a habit of kicking goals at vital times of games.

The fact he hasn't had a lot of game time could mean he has a fair bit of upside to him. Doesn't do our depth any harm either.
