Cheese has had a bit of a pong about him in zero-eight so far.
Sounds like Fossie may come in for Bird this week

It may be a danger game for Mal as Subiaco is always such an endurance test- perhaps it wouldnt be a bad thing to leave him out. However if it was me while we are winning and playing well, why change things unless you have players in the reserves absolutely banging the door down to get back in the 1sts team and from what I have read that hasnt been the case for most of the season for Fossie (Except Sunday by the sounds of it.)
About Roosey's little speech; well sounded like his usual say a lot about nothing. His style has been to make as few changes as possible, but if the change says Out: Bird (rested) then I dont have a problem with that, but remember there is a split round in a couple of weeks so they all get a rest.
I wouldn't think Craig would be putting his hand up to be rested though, and why should he.Comment

Listening to Roos is like listening to Grandpa Simpson...
One trick is to tell ?em stories that don?t go anywhere - like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on ?em. ?Give me five bees for a quarter,? you?d say.
Now where were we? Oh yeah - the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn?t have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...I think the main thing we've got to do is make sure we pick a team - and that might be the 22 that represented us on the weekend.
At some point, whether it's this week or the following week, a bit like what we did with Ed Barlow [earlier this season], sometimes the younger players do need to go back for a spell in the seconds.
"That's not necessarily the case at the moment, but we've got to keep an eye on that throughout the course of the year. It's a long year for some of those younger guys. At the moment, their form is very good, but certainly we will have more discussions this week in relation to selection, not just based on form, than what we normally do, because of the size of the ground. If you were going to the MCG or the Gabba or the Telstra Dome, it's a conversation that may not take place, but, it's definitely a discussion that we will have this week."Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.
"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."Comment

LOL - he IS like grandpa simpson! being an ex-canberran i think roos would make a good politician. He can talk and talk yet not say a thing!
Shame that Schmidt has been ruled out! i thought it was a bit stiff that he got dropped for the Tigers game.
Barlow in for Bird, if any change at all.If the siren sounds in Tasmania, and the umpires don't hear it, does it make a sound?Comment
