DESPITE his youth, Nathan Kenny's work ethic and mature outlook have opened a door to an elite sporting career.

The 15-year-old, from Magadelene Catholic High School, at Smeaton Grange has clinched a three-year scholarship with the Sydney Swans.

The AFL scholarship will allow him to train with the senior team every second week.

The club will also monitor his progress through a training program and diary.

At ANZ Stadium a few weeks ago, AFTER the players had run out of the race at the beginning of the game ... Kenny was stretching his hammies behind the fence - like he was going to run out and give them a hand or something.
I nearly died from laughing.
