    Commentary

    Was shocking last night!

Dwayne Russell is a total tool. His constant mention of Position A is outright annoying. As is 'deep in time on' or 'entering time on' every quarter. He kept saying these terms again in the Port/Blues game today - get some new material Dwayne!

Jackovich is as biased as they come and shouldn't comment on Eagles games.

Worst commentary I have heard all year. (I never heard the Port/Swans commentary as I was at the game, but have heard that was pretty bad too)

I can't wait for he day when all Foxtel games are "Active" games so I can turn the commentary off and just have the crowd noise. Did it today in the Port match and it was absolute bliss.

If there's one positive, then it's the removal of Drew Banfield as boundary rider.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

the only positive thing is to cancel Foxtel and get rid of all biased commentating.

          That's what i did.

I actually thought Jackovich's commentary was pretty spot on. As a former player it would be even harder for him to remain unbiased in his observations than it would be for you or me to commentate. Can you imagine some of the comments we would make in the heat of the moment?

I'd heard he has a reputation for balanced comments and on Saturday night he earnt my respect. He paid credit to both sides when it was warranted (you have to remember that we kicked 2 goals in the first half) and criticised players from both sides when they deserved it.

He never made the comment about the Eagles being home on air. Of course he's allowed (and expected) to make such an observation off the air.

And yes, it was chalk and cheese when compared to the Port game.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

I had a read of the flying high eagles forum and they were ripping into us, the umpires and the commentators the same way we have been ripping into them, he umps and the commentators.

Some nice ying/yang in the universe.

I like all the commentators actually, I mean sometimes we play terribly and they call it as they see it. Sometimes it can be annoying when you know they are wrong - ie 'this is the style of game Sydney love' when we are playing badly and fumbling but causing stoppages rather than getting blown away. Or 'the rainy conditions will suit Sydney' - umm our record in the rain in recent memory has been pretty sketchy.

But for the most part they are entertaining and do a good job I think. It is not like I could do any better.

The comentary was more shocking rather then biased. So they are right. I'm more annoyed with Dwayne Russell's crap.

That's because your too busy running around the lounge room injuring yourself. To be honest after Jude kicked that goal I was wondering what damage Nico has done this time around.

Well mate I can tell you it is still a bit sore and lacking strtetch and I was on the recliner, with the rest outwards to prevent myself from jumping out of the chair. But then again Bolton had the ball so the anticipation of another choke was dampening any enthusiasm at the time. I was "moore" pissed when he missed that easy shot.

How were the curried snags in front of the tele on Satdy? Did you try my recipe?

After the appalling commentary on the Port game, I did'nt even bother. I had the telly muted all night. I did of course turn it up after the final siren. I also stuck my mid digit up at Jakovich.

I thought the commentary was more biased than the Port game. From the first bounce, they were all about the Eagles. And I know that the Swans were playing @@@@. I would have preferred if they had said that, rather than just going on about how good the Eagles were. It wasn't that they were criticising the Swans; they were just ignoring them. I honestly didn't think the commentary in the Port game was that bad (I mean, it was bad, but not horrendous), but boy did this stick out. Maybe I was just in a sensitive mood....
