Swans Forward Line vs Others

I've noticed that the media has been eyeing the newest sets of power forward lines that have risen in the competition as of late:

Hawks: Roughead - Franklin - Williams
Lions: Brown - Bradshaw
Magpies: Davis - Cloke - Rocca - Medhurst - Didak - Pendlebury
Saints: Kozzie - Riewoldt - Milne - Schneider

Yet I still believe that besides the 'Pies, the Swans still probably have one of the best forward lines functioning:

Moore - Hall - O'Loughlin - O'Keefe - Playfair - McVeigh

Don't get me wrong, I love flying under the radar with this sort of stuff but I think the potency and their ability to work together is as good as any, if not the best when on song. I don't think there's much of a worry about consistency aside from our two small forward in Macca and Moore but they're steadily coming good and should continue to improve moving into the business end of the season.

Our forward line still has to prove itself against good opposition to be considered one of the best in the competition. We are still only the 9th best scoring team in the competition and the only times we've kicked more than 100 pts are against Port (2), WC, Ess and Rich.

I don't think how many points scored is any indication of how good your forward line is. It's still got more to do with midfield delivery and the number of inside 50's sent in. We know the Swans can kick a large score yet time and time again they've reverted back to a defensive mindset that has limited scoring opportunities game after game.

If anything, losses have been attributed to scoring accuracy this season.

Definitely the midfield has a lot to do with it, but the structure of the forward line does too. Our attacking game provides far more goalkicking options, but you're right that we revert to defensive play against better sides.
