MMM Quote of the Night ....

"Leo Barry has the decision making skills of a junkie."
Commentators for MMM Sydney tonight - Russell Barwick; Troy Luff; Wayne Schwass; and Brad Seymour.

Now I don't know who said it (I'll have to PM Luffy and ask him) ... but I swear I laughed so hard that I wasted a mouthful of scotch!!

    Classic.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

I think it was Russell & he's used many times in the past.
    Bring it on!

It was the best one...plus the exchange as Schwatta farted. Such a boy thing.

No complaints about the biased commentating...?

It's hard to argue with the accuracy of the comment.

After Leo 'What's a first option?' Barry took a good mark last night Mrs Claret made the observation that "He's been pretty good tonight" to which I agreed "Yes, and he's only kicked it out of bounds on the full once".

          Less than 10 seconds later . . .
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

No matter what you think of Leo's decision making it is not a very nice comment to make. I think the thing with Leo from watching at the game, is he is so conscious of making the perfect pass. Must say his efficiency has been great this year and remember 9 times out of 10 when he goes on his little runs, he draws a player or players and it pays off. Happen a few times last night that resulted in goals to us. He does look so hesitant at times but I think he knows what he is doing.

The Swannies are so patient, will not always chip it long to a contest into our forward 50 but prefer to chip it around until there is a clear lead.

I agree with her. Leo's natural style involves a "bees to the honeypot" approach that often ends up in the bees' defensive 50. If he gets caught doing his buck and wing twice a game he's probably broken the lines and created an overlap 2 or 3 times as well. EDIT: Let's make time for nice next year, or the year after. Maybe. Ish.

Arent these the same "commentators" who kept calling Paul Bevan the worst footballer in the AFL.

He's pretty bloody good at the moment IMO, and one premiership medal is more than those jumped up experts can scrape together.

They are more fickle than RWO.

Just a quickie to add to the post. It was Mickey Maclean who used the term for Leo, funny yes but certainly not something I would say. Also to Paul Bevan's defence, my calls about him have been nothing but positive, some of the commentators actually call him "my boy" as I always dump praise on him.
Well as usual always good to read what is said amongst the Swans faithful.

You certainly saw something in Bevo that a lot of us on here didn't see.
