    Micky O

How good is he going at the moment.

The guy is a freak and as alot of us at the Rising Sun said last night is going as well as he ever has and his footy smarts as as instinctive as ever.
He is the ultimate team man and his form is at the highest level.

I cant see why we couldnt get another couple of years out of him , players of his ilk are rare and apart from form or injury he holds his own at the moment.Could only imagine how much better he could of been if it wasnt for the bad knees he has.

I had exactly the same conversation about him with a couple of mates at the footy last night and agree with everything you say. I can't speak highly enough of him this year. He is one of the greatest players to have ever played in the red and white. I will shed a tear the day he retires.

Could not agree more. Mick is in great nick right now and is sensational to watch. Words cannot describe the value he brings to our footy team.

My favourite Swan. Magic is the word.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

You can just see his mind ticking over whenever he gets the ball. Granted, his team-mates aren't always in sync with what he's thinking, but you just know something's going to happen.

He will play next year and will be the first Swan to 300 games.

I just hope that when he gets to 300 it happens at the SCG

Hopefully but no matter where it happens, I intend to be there.

I will be so disappointed as I will be overseas from January till July next year and thus more then likely will miss Micky O's 300th. He has been a sensational player for our team, and whereas a couple of years ago it looked like it might be all but over for him, he has overcome his injuries and is almost getting better with age. His footy brain is second to none in our team and he is the ultimate professional. Oh how I woudl love to see him win another flag Ultimate team man and an absolute pleasure and joy to watch, he is already a Swans great and will go down as one of our best ever. But there is still plenty of run left in those legs, more then enough to get to a deserved 300 game milestone.

Agree entirely, Micky has always been one of my favourite players to watch he is a truly unique player and an all time great (Swans and AFL). It was a tragedy when his body was failing but this year is looking fantastic again.

Looking forward to the 300 for the Swans and hopefully his 500th goal too which I think is imminent.

On a different matter have tried the Riser over the last two matches and have enjoyed it down there, crowded but good fun.

I lost count of how many crumbers Micky picked up and ran away with last night.

Someone please tell him that he's an old man now and he should be thinking about slowing down and retiring. N.O.T.!!

It's taken a long time and we've seen a lot of things along the way ... great and not so great. Capper, pink helicopters, pigs at the SCG, Paul Kelly, Tony Lockett's 1300th, the members voting in our coach, the 2005 premiership, being in the 2006 granny (at least we were there).

Personally, I am in heaven watching MickyO and Goodesy play. They are my heros. I'm going to cry when MickyO plays his 300th game for the Swans. I'm looking forward to adding it to the great list. How very deserving - he's been an exemplary ambassador for the club.
