Mid season 2005 and we were being beaten by the Saints at Telstra Dome ..(the famous game that led to the "they'll never be sucessful playing this style of football "match).

Our turnovers made the game almost unwatchable but then there was a moment of Magic.... He tapped the ball turned his opponent inside out ,stole 3 metres and kicked a great goal from 35 on a tight angle and we were right behind the kick.

I turned to my Dad and said "That made watching the rest of this worthwhile".

We were still talking about it in the carpark. The next 4 - 5 games were wins and 2005 is history!

Micky makes watching the Swans special.

Different class of player. Goodesy will be a 300 gamer as well - if not a lot more.

          Goodesy's only just starting

He has gotten better with age. The way they've managed his knee problems is nothing short of brilliant. I'll never forget his miraculous goal against Essendon at the Dome in 2005 - "magic".

That was a real beauty. My first game in Melbourne and Magic kicks a snap puts a massive leg break and goes straight through the goals. Absolute ripper goal met by stunned silence from the essenscum crowd.

My favourite swan ever. If i had one criticism, he goes to ground too easily in a contest. I don't know if he is trying to get a free kick, but it is frustrating, especially considering how good he is at ground level.

A deadset legend. Love the way he creates goals out of nothing, love how he shoves his defender under the ball, love how he took four marks inside 50 in the last q of the grand final and missed them all. Love how got in the face of Subiaco Fatboy. My favourite Swan too.

When he retires I'd like to see RWO introduce a Magic Medal for the freakiest, most Mickey O-like effort of the year by a Swans player.

I've never really gotten frustrated at him going to ground. He recovers very quickly and when he does go to grand more than likely has someone there to support and create the contest in his absence. In a one on one situation he definitely would back himself and I don't see it as an issue and more times than not he can con the umpire into awarding him a free.
