    Time to eat humble pie.

Okay, now Baz has made his long awaited return, and we are fourth on the ladder, there appears that there are a few people on here that need to eat a huge slice of humble pie.

There were a number of posters who said that BBBH had wrecked our season with his round 4 brain snap. Anyone want to own up to being rather hysterical about what happened? Or do I need to post threads?

You know who you are (as do the rest of us) so come clean and take the serving of pie that you deserve.

A quick search should be quite revealing

Was I one? I honestly can't remember if I thought/said it would derail the season, although I do recall thinking it was bloody, bloody, bloody stupid to do.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Well, IMHO, we'd be 2 points and $25,00 better off if Hall had not have missed so many games.
But probably still wouldn't be top 3.

We'd have definitely won against the roos.
Would have pushed the Cats a bit more. ( Who knows??)
And may have scraped over the line against the Dogs.

And poor JW may not have become so infamous.

I am sooo in the clear on this one

Never bagged Barry for what he did (that I remember) and it was always offset by the injury IMO anyway.

Take it a step further and look up where people claimed we'd finish the season
            I pegged us as premiers.
Doesn't seem so unrealistic now, does it?

I will not be convinced until we beat some of the real contenders of which we have only played two of them and lost to them. We are yet to play Collingwood, Adelaide, Hawhorn and we have to play Geelong and Bulldogs again. At this stage we have really only beaten bottom teams.

How is that any different to if Baz had played in all of those matches?

Back on topic, you have avoided the point of the thread brilliantly, were you one who bagged Baz and said our season was derailed?

Speaking of humble pie, I think some need to acknowledge how far Bevan has come this year...

                    I'm in the clear.

I was so proud of that punch. It was just such a pity that he broke his arm and couldn't come back for the rematch at Subi.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I thought the punch was stupid - still do. I don't know about wrecking the season, though I did think it had the potential to derail his own which I thought had started quite well. Seems to have started off OK again though.

Agree with it not wrecking the Swans season.

In terms of his own season, I thought it could have only helped in a physical sense - gives him a chance to get rid of any niggles and do a 2nd pre season.

                          Time will tell I guess..

I also think he got rid of much of his pent up frustrations with the umpiring, so in the end, for Baz, and the club it may have been a good thing.

It wasn't me but my comment was relevant to the second part of the quote.
