I own up and admit I said that the Barry Hall punch had the potential to derail our season. And it certainly did.
I still think his punch was a stupid, selfish act. I also believe that we would have beaten North and possibly WB with Hall in the side.
I also believe that he has done his 7 weeks, done the crime. Now time to move on.Swannies for life!Comment

I own up...I thought along the lines that we were going along quite nicely and without bother .....that will teach me....boom...left hook.
I am naturallly morbid so I immediately went into worst case scenario.

I always have faith in the Swans, despite Hall's punch being stupid.
My faith in the team never wanes.Comment

I was angry because we were travelling well and something dumb like that which is way out of character for our club, could have had drastic affects.
No way I am eating humble pie. Hindsight is a beautiful thing.
On Bevo I have commented on how well he is playing but have always said he was not a defender. They "experimented" for 3 seasons with him as a defender and he was miserable in that he made far too many errors, did dumb things, was adept at picking out the oppostion and had little awareness of opponents around him etc.etc.Comment

Oh... The old James Hird strategy??? Slam the crap out of them (umpires), blame them for all the ills of the world, come back begging and turn into their best mate and be forever marked as an untouchable for the rest of your playing career????
I like it. I like it a lot!Comment

It was in the heat of the moment.
I'm sure had he had a few seconds to think about it, it wouldn't have happened.
Now if he had gone out purposefully to attack someone a-la Yates Vs Brereton, than that would have been a different story. The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.Comment

As I understand he had a couple of hours to think about it since his argument with his ex.Comment
