When they dumped the great Norm Smith and in his first maych against them as Bloods coach at the MCG the cigar smokers stood as one man (women were not allowed in to the members which may explain their lack of progeny) and booed him. Contemptable. Maintain the rage.

That's exactly what I was wondering.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

This topic could easily apply to us in the 70's and 80's.

                "Go Dees! Tally ho chaps!"

Reading http://demonology.midnight.net.au/ is actually quite depressing. Poor buggers.

Seeing their club officials give FREE Melbourne supporter flags out to anyone who wanted one last weekend against the Tigers is proof as to how few supporters they have. The Eagles on the Friday night had 3 times as many fans at the Dome as Melbourne did on Sunday.

Melbourne have done us a favour on 2 occasions....helped us break a 26 game losing streak and also gave up 10 last qtr goals in 2003 which turned that season around and the club has been successful since.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Didn't we pay back the favour the following year??

Agree....no one could possibly hate the Dees, not now the Ox and Neitz have gone. I mean just having Russell Robertson is surely enough to lift them off anyone's hate list. They're just a nothing team and have been for several years...a few good individual players, but there's no "team" there.
The only sides one can genuinely hate are the Druggies, the Bummers, the Dorks, and the stinking %4@3ing pies.... all the other teams have something quite endearing about them -- at least one redeming quality. Oh, damn, I forgot the drunks in the hate list....and the...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

Interestingly Nicksy said a couple of years ago that the team the Bloods really disliked was the Dees. Mentioned that Bruce and Green liked to watch the replays of themselves on the big screen.
