Sums it up perfectly. St Kilda sat behind the ball waiting for Freo to bomb it in mindlessly where they were majorly outnumbered and Freo fell for it.

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

It's staggering how far the Saints have gone backwards under Lyon. Just goes to show that a game plan that works at one club may not work at another. Hopefully it won't be too long before they realize his appointment has been a failure and he gets the chop, if only to serve as a warning to other clubs against listening to Robert Walls of all people when appointing a new coach.

I picked the AINTS to win by 7 points, but watching it wanted the Dockers to win. Nothing to like about either team, the tamest match of the year, what were St Kilda actually celebrating after the siren. 18 goals betweeen them under a roof.. not a good showcase for FNF. how did those two teams get that gig anyway.

Given that performance along with their performance in Round 1 and against the Hawks last year, I'm quite glad Ross Lyon is no longer an assistant coach for the Swans.
Any Saints players who want to play attacking footy might want to reconsider their contracts.

That's true Jewels, and it would rate well in WA. FNF is usually worth staying in for, but not tonite.
