It's a huge advantage to play the preliminary final at home so your best chance at doing that is by finishing top 2 where you have to opportunity to play first up at home.
Don't know about huge. I remember very well a PF at the MCG in 2005. I wouldnt mind meeting Geelong there in a PF this year.
Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.
