May have been a ploy anyway - to get mismatches

I'm telling you a big win this week is a bad omen for next.
          Lions poor tonight. Umpiring weird.

Very different players but between him and Bird we got two 200 game players in last years draft.

Fevola just got a free kick paid against him, think they don't want him to get the 100

Maybe Vespa was always going to be played but was named as an emergency as a ploy.

                      Game Over

                      Sydney 17.12 114
                      Brisbane 6.17 53

A great performance overall, and a guaranteed home final against North Melbourne or St. Kilda (unless the Saints draw, which I hope DOESN'T happen). Dominated in possession (369 vs. 324 disposals), ruck (44 vs. 21 hitouts), clearances, scoring shots and goal kicking accuracy but had 10 more free kicks against compared to Brisbane. A real team effort, great tackling pressure, great defensive pressure, run from the backline and better kicking to goal and for goal.

The better players were McVeigh with 28 disposals and 2 goals, Malceski with 27 disposals and a goal, B1 and Monty also with 27 disposals, Mattner with 22 disposals, Moore with 22 disposals and 4 goals, Vespa also with 4 goals, Richards with 21 disposals and a goal, LRT with 19 disposals and keeping Brown scoreless, Jack with 17 disposals and 2 goals and Grundy with 17 disposals.

Spida showed he's not done yet with 16 disposals, 19 hitouts and a goal. Barry was well beaten by Bradshaw but was lucky that he kicked 2.4, Kirk was unusually quiet and Hall was lucky not to have ended his season early after been manhandled by 3-4 Lions defenders throughout the game. B1 is on report and hopefully he can get off with a reprimand or the MRP throw it out the window. Bevan and Ablett were fairly ordinary, Jolly didn't get much of the ball but he easily won in the ruck.

It'll be interesting for the selectors this week given the likely players to return from injury are Goodes, MOL and ROK. I hope they don't drop Vespa or Moore, more likely Ablett and/or Barry to be omitted.

Now the home final is sealed, it should be a great game against either the Kangas or Saints and hopefully a good win to give the Kanga fans something to whinge about or to show Lyon how to coach. The good thing is it's highly unlikely that we'll face the Magpies (unless the Saints draw), hopefully they lose and I'd love to see the look on Joffa and Eddie's faces.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

I thought Everitt payey much better tonight.
He actually tapped to advantage and was the tall standing forward.

Bucky to miss next week I think for ROK.
                        Goodes in for Ablett.
MOL ... is he fit? If so then Grundy misses.
Ves MUST stay in, not just for the game but the future of the Club !

I was extremely pleased with the way that Malceski played. He showed confidence and form. Very disenchanted by many umpiring decisions. I would love to get consistent umpires

I agree Ablett and Barry should make way for ROK and Goodes.

I missed the match, but I heard on the radio that Monty got reported early on in the match? Did I hear that right?
