    Bazza's Marking - Improved?

Just going on what I saw of him before the suspension and a few of his marks yesterday, I'm convinced that the 05 model Barry Hall is back. He was actually taking them in front of his eyes and not going for the sooky la-la chest mark option.

He actually seems to be getting air time this season, too. The way he jumps over some of those packs and shows a real hunger for the ball is such a refreshing sight! Even early in the West Coast game he was back to his pack-busting best, and the signs were ominous.

Assuming the Melbourne game was just a blip on the radar, we should be able to consider ourselves a chance this year and Hall will be a big part of that. With O'Loughlin in vintage form and our mids chipping in, Bazza is like the massive cherry on top.

I just can't hate the guy, even though he did let us down earlier in the season.

I have not seen the game. Did they go for Hall at the right times and to others when he had two hanging of him? I guess the point is that it's not how many Hall kicks, it's how many the team scores.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

I noticed too, that his marking was quite good, even in a contested overhead situation.
And then he let one bounce off his chest.

But overall a good effort for his 2nd game back.

I also loved his pack crash, even though he gave the free away, and subsequent 50. But it's good to see a key big forward throwing his weight around to let the other know he's around and you can expect this at any time.

        His marking was @@@@ hot.
Awesome stuff - he was marking when I'd expect most players to be a 50/50
The easy ones he was grabbing too.
Now to work on his kicking

The first one that bounced of his chest was clearly caused by the sun - you can see the shadow of the ball on his face and then chest.

The second one was just Baz though.

Could've been the smallness of the dees defence.

Yeah, I reckon he has a bit. His legs look bigger - not sure if that's just the bike shorts (which I can't remember him wearing before the suspension) though!

A bit of guilts or, nothing better to do??

Also, he wouldn't have been able to use his arms for a while, so he probably did some excessive leg work.

Yeah, I thought we were a little Hall-centric yesterday but I guess they were just exploiting his match-up against Warnock. He was marking them well yesterday though. Just didn't have the kicking boots on.

bit of both I rekon. Was just going on how remorseful he was after the incident and the "I'm going to get respect back from the team" sentiments. Training hard and working out with the rest of the team will do that

He still dropped a sitter! But those pins in his hands are really helping with gripping the ball....
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."
