    Davis asks for second chance

    Source

THIS was the secret meeting last week called in a desperate bid to save the career of the Sydney Swans' premiership hero Nick Davis. Last Monday, Davis arrived at a coffee shop in Sydney's Entertainment Quarter for a 45-minute chat organised by Swans football manager and family friend Andrew Ireland.

He was accompanied by his agent, former NRL star Lance Thompson. Thompson's business partner, Chris Xipolitas, husband of soap star Ada Nicodemou, was also in Davis's corner as the enigmatic forward discussed his future at the club.
Ireland doesn't look impressed with being snapped.

Perhaps he shouldn't wear a Swans jacket if he doesn't want attention?

Longmire made it very clear on SEN that Davis had a long way to go as far as they were concerned.

If the worst was to happen and Davis was put up for trade.

What could we get from him, more importantly, which clubs would take him?

Personally, I hope he forces his way back into the seniors

The looks on their faces, and the the people themselves were:

Ireland told Davis his services were no longer required.

For starters, Davis needs to get himself a manager with a clue.

You mean, an ex-rugby league player who manages only league players plus Davis has no clue over AFL?

Thompson: "That guy's taking our photo."
                Ireland: "Which guy?"
Davis: "I swear that's my latte... he didn't order a latte... or did he?"
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

It would be a good place to start. IMHO Davis is own worst enemy.

So which game does he want to come back for???
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I hope i'm wrong but IMHO Davo will not pull on the red and white in the seniors ever again, and will be traded at years end.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

                            ... and I think he's contracted until 2011.

                            VERY expensive ressie.

I don't think we'll get a good enough trade for him. Davis is a lot better than a 3rd rounder or a fringe player.
