I have personally raised this a couple of times with Tony Morwood, as at this stage we are still yet to play a heritage round game in Melbourne with the jumper!
Doesn't need to be all the time, just one game at the "G" where they encourage former South supporters to come along in the hope it may rekindle something and add to the membership numbers in Melbourne.
It would be nice to be able to see the jumper live again in Melbourne not just on TV.

Having gone thorugh the drama of the relocation there are 2 key things that stand out to retain the popular support of the 'old generation' - the colours - the changing of the style of the jumper was a great compromise that worked. And secondly changing back to the old theme song (you gotta love that banjo section).
I would love to see a heritage round with the red V but if we go back to our 1919 premiership we wore white with a red sash... so which is the real heritage?_______________

I hate the idea of 'clash' jumpers, i think we (and all teams) only need one style of jumper and wear it all the time.
The idea of a special jumper for the heritage round is good for once a year.CHER - Who has two types of blood cells "RED ones and WHITE ones"Comment

As a long time fan of the swans, bloods, south melbourne and now Syndey - I love the way the Sydney siders support the team. We have more members in Melbourne now than at any time in our history - it's great to hear opposition supporters in the crowd at melbourne based games - "gee they've got a lot of support".

I love the fact that we have a good fan base in Sydney & Melbourne and by all accounts there is a good showing in WA too.Bring it on!Comment

I was thinking that seeing though the Brisbane Lions wear the old Fitzroy jumper and colours for all their Melbourne games, to honour the old Fitzroy football club, why don't the swans wear the old South Melbourne jumper(like the one they wear during heritage round) at all their games in Melbourne. To honour the South Melbourne football club. I just think this would be a nice thing to see. Your thoughts people?Comment

Back in 1996, which was the first Heritage round (or did they call it something else, it was the 100th anniversary year) we wore red and white vertical stripes and black shorts.

In 1996 we wore Red & White Vertical Stripes with Red Shorts and hooped socks.
2003 against Hawthorn at the SCG we wore the Black Shorts as the 1933 Premiership side did and the hooped socks
Really hope that we do wear a Heritage Strip in Melbourne , love it when we wore the Team Of The Century jumper against the Pies at Telstra Dome.
Even Davo looked alright back in it thenEst 1874
