I love his toughness and tiny bit of aggro. His kicking can sometimes be exquisite. But what excites me the most is his vision and ability to create just enough time and space in crowded situations. Watching bits of last night's fizzer I was marvelling (as I am sure others were) on the abilities of Selwood Mk III and in particular his football brain. Fingers crossed that Vez will be able to show similar attributes when he gets his chance at senior level.

They show the team list on the scoreboard at half time and full time.

Good game to watch. Belconnen were very good, pressured the Swans, and worked hard off the ball. Thoroughly deserved their victory.

From what I was told Davis and Crouch didn't play while Brennan got injured. I don't have any other details though.

Crouch was never named. Davis didn't play, I assume he's still sidelined with the hamstring/back injury. Brennan did something to his wrist in the 3rd quarter but came back and played in the 4th. Faulks and Murphy had a huge head clash in the 2nd quarter, Murphy went on, I think Faulks didn't play much after that.

Gee Veszpremi is good to watch. It looks like he has a way to go fitness wise but he uses the ball beautifully.

That was my first time seeing the Prez as well and boy was i impressed. People were definitely right about him going into a contest at 100mph. He already looks pretty strong and from what i see, his skills set is probably in the top echelon of all our midfielders.

Looks to have a great future ahead.

Currie looks almost ready enough to take Spidas spot. After the @@@@ that Spida dished up tonight, i'd love Currie to be in next week.

I really hope Schmidt's patience doesn't run out. He will be a permanent fixture in our 22 next year.

Re the 100 mph line, that's right but only with the added comment that he goes at 100 mph when the speed limit is 60. Absolute nut, almost took mark of the game, climbed over 2 or 3 players, ended up horizontal before dropping it when he hit the ground. Was absolutely filthy too at not completing it.

Murphy is a big lad. So is Currie.

I caught the second half and it was quite a good game. Much better than the firsts.
