    Parking tonight?

Hey kids, we're going to drive out to the game tonight and just twigged that we don't have a pre-paid parking ticket. Does anyone know how to check whether it is worth the effort going to get one or if it looks likely that one of P1 or P3 will still be easy enough to get into?

Ticketek website isn't selling them anymore to check and I just wanted to see if it was worth the effort toddling into the city this morning to get a pre-paid one.

catch public transport...it's free with your ticket/membership...or just catch it anyway...better for the environment and quicker too with all the traffic that congests the Homebush area before and after the game

We normally do or car pool (hence not having parking included in our memberships), but tonight we have to drive.

Drive to Lidcome, plenty of free parking around the station and its only a couple of stops to ANZ. Less time time than it takes to find a parking spot at the stadium. Lidcombe has some cheap eateries as well, so you can save the equivalent this months balance of payments by not eating at the stadium. Of course you may not have any tyres when you get back to the car but its still cheaper.

I think we're generally locked into the stadium parking, part of not using public transport is because Stella junior has Auskick early in the morning and we're trying to avoid too much of a groggy eyed kid the next morning (which is always hard to do with the Saturday night games, I coach his Auskick group and in general half the kids are still asleep when you play the morning after a Saturday night game in Sydney!).

Lets hope for a Saturday night/ Auskick morning double victory then. My old coach had the same problem when we played the early Saturday morning game with hangovers.

Stell, I'd say call ticketek and find out. They should be able to tell you if there's much left in even P4.

I'll guarantee you won't get into P1 now, P3 might be possible.

I'm just frustrated that there's trackwork between Bondi Junction and Central....

Yep, that's annoying. I was tossing up between driving and training but that has probably swayed it for me. The other annoying thing about catching the train is that if you go out for the early game, the express trains aren't yet running, which adds 15 minutes or so onto the journey time, depending on how long you have to wait at Lidcombe for the shuttle.

Out of interest for anyone with a similar quandry; I just spoke to a gentleman on the Secure Parking line for Homebush (there actually is one!) and he said that P1 is sold out but P2, P3, P4 all are fine and should have plenty of casual spaces (not sure how P3 being relatively empty bodes for a >55k crowd).

Bus it there. Much better than train. They start running from 4pm. Check Cityrail website for bus pick up locations.

Catch the bus from Strathfield, no need to go via Lidcombe
