    Swans poised

For those who reckon the Melbourne media still underrates the Swans, this might cause a rethink - a very upbeat article on what the Swans do well.

Sydney Swans poised for flag assault | Herald Sun

Of course, what it fails to mention is the quality of most of the teams we've played so far this season. Can the lads put it all together tonight?

The melbourne media may be catching on. Makes a pleasant change from the "Swans stranglers line". Hopefully we will see more pressure on the maggies tonight than we exerted last year. And they are suspect under pressure, particularly their playmakers Pendlebury, H Shaw and Thomas.

Not an unexpected well thought out article considering the author, Gerard Healy.

Always got something constructive to say about every team and still appears to have a soft spot for the Swannies, despite a poster a few months back whose name escapes me suggesting he hates the Swans. WTF

Yes, I noticed later that it was written by Healy, which makes the comments less surprising. There's no doubt that he's a Swans fan. Whether it's just his sentimental connection, who knows. Undoubtedly that's part of it. But I think he understands and admires better than most how the Swans play. Even back in 2005 when Walls got on his soapbox he was trying to reign both he and Mike Sheehan in a bit.

There is only 1 game on today. To fill the pages they have to have Swans news today.

This is what happens when their part-time "foxy"canteen lady(my eldest) is on holiday in Denmark. She is not able to spike their food with "let the Swans fly under the radar" powder. Maybe they are halluciating now they are being feed untampered with food.

She has some funny tales about the sports reporters and their unhealthy diets.

Interesting that has not been pointed out for the Swans, but was for Adelaide and Collingwood.
