Daniel Currie + Jesse White >>>>>>>> Peter Everitt

I'm sorry to say that Spida has run his race at the Swans and it is now time to put him out to pasture.

White and Currie have shown alot in the ruck at reserves level and one can only think that they would add alot more than Spida at seniors.

    Thoughts?

I thought Currie played very well in the reserves today, certainly gave a lot more than Everett in the seniors

Is he a chance for promotion then?

Spida was very ordinary in general play tonight. I can't see him playing on next year but hopefully with some matches under his belt he can still be useful this year.

Currie is very good, while his taps aren't the quality of Everitt's he moves well and his positional play is very good, gets to the right spot quite consistently. I think he deserves the chance to have a go at least, he couldn't do any worse than Everitt.

Whilst I'm all for Currie and think he looks a peach, Spida still had 7 touches and 14 hit outs- whilst some of those touches were pretty woeful, I don't think you can assume that Currie would come in and get 14 hit outs straight away. Jolly has been outstanding this year and had 17 last night, I wouldn't be suprised if Spida had more to advantage than Jolly either.

I'd like to see how Spida goes with a few more games under his belt, he's had a pretty stop/start run to the season thus far.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I'd rather see James Meiklejohn back than watch Everitt again.

in the so called attempted comeback i thought spida showed he is still one of the best tap ruckman in the comp.

We dont have a gameplan that leads to the ruckman racking up the big stats.

He went forward for a little while but when was the ball there? He was not too bad last night
Theres not much left to say

Everitt is well and truly over the hill.

I don't give a @@@@ if Currie isn't quite strong enough yet. He needs to play next week. He can't do any worse than Spida.

Everitt doesn't look strong enough to play league football either. He looks like a frail old man and moves slower than my Grandfather, and he's dead.

                            Probably better than Everitt.

Everitt has to go. There really shouldn't be any question about it IMO. He gives us practically nothing around the ground.

exposed on the bigger ground, but let's give him a chance to string a few games together and see how he goes

doubt we'll see him in 09 though

Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.
