Well, extra homework for the coaching staff. In addition to working on things for each game, a week at a time, they need to start working out ways to play the Pies, and have 6 weeks to get it sorted out.

Quite simply, we cannot handle the tight one-on-one style the Pies play and we need an alternative.

      Paul Roo's last night :
"I don't think it was that bad a game. It's just that they took their opportunities, as they tend to do against us, and we just couldn't take any of ours.
Now I'm a big fan of Roos but that comment is just rubbish. It was an appalling game, the worst game he has coached, and Roos needs to admit it.

Surely goal kicking practice would have been more productive than a week or surfing and kicking back on the piss?
Complete BS! How is he being out coached when his own players don't execute the skills as they should? How is it his fault when they panic under pressure? How is it his fault when certain duds can't kick goals from 15 metres out? Collingwood simply applied the blowtorch to every player across the field and our guys couldn't handle it. Put simply, the Collingwood players were more committed, more skilled and more discilplined in executing their game plan.

Why don't you continue on and say we were "out-spectated" as well. Our "support" in the crowd was diabolical in comparison to theirs!

There are elements of truth in that, however when we continue to lose to Collingwood in the same way every time, then some responsibility has to fall back on the coach! The team he sent out there - for whatever reason - was unable to execute his game plan, which clearly is ineffective against Collingwood anyway. Half of them may not have been fit.

When things were going awry, there were no changes to the game plan when it was obvious we were heading for a heavy defeat.

I think it is a fair assement that Roos has been out coached. Malthouse really has a great undertsanding of our game plan and how to counter it, if you watch the last 3 games vs the Pies they are all very similar.

Ross has also stated a couple of times " we will have to try something diffrent next time" but it doesnt appear we have.

I found Roo's comment about the only difference between the teams was our non functioning forward line as bizarre but I suppose he had to say something.

From SMH - Roos "Our forward line tonight really struggled and that probably was the difference in the game"

The real test will be how we bounce back next week as IMHO this will be our season defining game.

            Cheers

Davis, Leo, LRT and Roos threads, Jim Main must be loving this.
              Glad I wasn't dissappointed.

This site is getting sooooooo predictable and boring.
