Just out of curiosity- are the Swans doing their membership raffles calls at the moment (or at least has anyone else got a call)?

We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time -
I did get a missed call last night on my mobile from someone who didn't leave a message. I remember the same thing happened last year numerous times until I finally got so curious that I called back, only to find it was the membership raffle. Boring! I won't be calling back this year (if it was even them, it could have just been another random person).
So, in answer to your question, I really have no idea

My dad had a call about it, said sure and bought a couple of tickets then had a panic that it might have been a scam and call me asking if I'd been called (I haven't). I was bored and did some googlesleuthing, the call he got was from 8218 4899 and it looks like that's an outbound call centre for selling raffle tickets and stuff.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Ahhh, that must be what the phone call I missed was about. Someone else took it for me and told me it was about the swans. Why didn't they just call my mobile? As if I'd be home during the day!

yeah They called my number last night but I wasnt home so I rang the number back and it said it was a telemarketing firm and they would call backl later. I tend to not answer the phone before 8pm - its always some tele marketer from India trying to get you to go onto Optus, when in fact I'm already on Optus!As vague as always

Does anyone remember the bombardment of phone calls you got for raffle tickets on the weekend of the 05 granny? I was driving to Melb the mobile went off - it was the swans I just said that I couldnt talk ring me next week they said "on your way to the Grand final then?" so I was on my way - sure enough they rang first thing on the Monday morning using the Granny win as the "oh so how many tickets do you want?"I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
