    Michael Voss

Voss is off to be an assistant at the Weagles.

I wonder how hard we tried to lure him to Sydney and if not, why not. Imagine the knowledge he could have passed on to the likes of Moore and Bird.

The weagles have obviously thrown a fair bit of money at him.

I'd rather have James Hird any day.

It's ridiculous that Voss has been touted as an AFL coach without any prior experience.

But good he's going to West Coast -- they need all the help they can get.

I sense a lot of bitterness in this thread. He may have @@@@ coaching abilities but he'll be an inspiration to our younger players who will most likely look up to him.

Meh... he'll have to get used to loser culture sooner or later.

Seriously, what does he expect?? He has ZERO coaching experience. He might have had an outstanding playing career, but that mean jack when it come to coaching. How did Peter Knights go at the Brisbane Bears all those years ago?

Bitterness? That's funny Yes I'm not sure how we'll be able to stop the West Coast Juggernaut now!

Voss will help Woosha out for 2 years as assistant and suck him dry then at the end of 2010,he will head back to the Gold Coast to take up the head coach roll there.

IMO and Dermies the WC are a bit silly to take him on knowing full well that after he has gained all the secrets he will depart and use them against them.

Maybe they're hoping that all the "extra benefits" available to the Eagles will entice him to stay and take over ?

I'm puzzled by the bitterness also.

He's decided to do an apprenticeship as an assistant coach looking after the Eagles midfield. Every coach who has gone on the record has said he'll be a brilliant coach one day.

I'm just disappointed our midfield won't have the opportunity to work with him but I suppose they're doing OK without the champ

Interesting to see the press reaction - that he's shafted the AFL by choosing West Coast over Gold Coast.
