When they rupture their spleen, they say they've ruptured their spleen. When they get concussed, they call it concussion. When you damage your brain, they call it a brain injury. Etcetera.

When reporting injuries in brief in the media, whether from car accidents or whatever, they typically refer to head injuries rather than being more specific. Same as most back injuries - they often refer to them as back injuries rather than specifics.

If Hall had the same injury "Brain Injury" would probably be accurate.
