    Swans game on TV tomorrow!!!!

    Because my grandma has Foxtel.
And today she came over for lunch and I had a sook.
So she went home and subscribed to the footy channel.
I think it was a covert way of getting me & the kids over there for most of tomorrow, but I don't care, I'll endure that pain to watch the game.

Plus she got marshmallows to cook by the open fire.
And strawberries & ice cream for the kids (& me )

And I'll probably head over there on Sunday, because she got the Footy for the next 2 months

It's actually my wife's grandmother, but I kind of adopted her because my grandmother stole money off me and that caused some bad blood and we never spoke again.
And now she's dead, so I doubt we'll sort that out soon.
So I'm starting over with a new and improved grandmother, and so far it's going swimmingly.

She even watched last week's crap game.
I taught her that it was a mark not a catch.
And we had a fairly lengthy discussion about how they get 6 points and one point.
Maybe one day I can set her up with Kenny. If he's not married anymore.
And I bet he isn't because his wife and that other couple who used to be behind the goals would have got pretty pissed when he got selected to be some kind of weird Swans mascot and they didn't.

Wow.....out of all that....the thing i am most impressed with is a grandmother that stole....OMG..that just blew all my stereotypes away.

Mind you the kids I talk to go on about their old grandmothers and it turns out they are my age. That blows my mind too.

In her defense, she was encouraged by my 'possibly mentally ill' mother
All a big part of my mother and father's marriage bust up.
But she did what she did, and I made it known that all she had to do was apologist, but it seems she didn't want to0 do that.

I'd replace my mum with my wife's mum, but my mum's not dead yet, so people might look down on that.
I have a kind of surrogate mum in my best friends mother.
He's been overseas for the last 18 months, so I could have exploited that but that just seems morally wrong

Nah, my Grandma was a bit old and easily led.
My mother is very manipulative, perhaps like that Sylvania Waters chick - I didn't watch the show.

                    My family is very dysfunctional.
My brother and father don't speak.
I haven't had anything to do with my sister for 20 years.
My mother is currently out of my life due to a long story involving her grandchildren.

Unfortunately my life is much better and happier without certain people in it.
                    Who needs the constant drama?
Plus they don't support the Swans.
Although my dad is a Saints supporter and he's cool.
And my brother is Essendon and i get along with him.

My eldest daughter is 'out of the family' at the moment because she says that she supports Collingwood.

It's her stupid 'trying to fit in at school' and going through puberty thing.
Before this she was Richmond, because the stupid players come to our school every year.
I need to email the Swans and get the players down to some Victorian Schools.
Perhaps it could be a part of Halls reconciliation with the club.

Or has the time past for the 'bloods' to be a part of that type of 'out of state' thing?

It sounds like your at the center of all the problems, may be your the main problem in the family maybe they should just get rid of you.

How could I possibly NOT be at the centre of my problems ?!?!?!

I know what you're implying, but you are doing so based on zero knowledge.

My sister has decided to having nothing to do with me since I caused big problems at home when my mother allowed her to sleep in the same bed as her boyfriend when she was 15 and he was 18.
She never got over my moral stance and the issue that it raised and has not wanted to be in my life since.
I tried 10 years ago or so to build that bridge and it didn't happen.

My mother was looking after my children and conflicted with my oldest.
Her response to Monique saying that she'd been bullied at school was "if you treat your friends like you treat me, then I'm not surprised"
That day Monique had been slapped across the face by a boy in her class.
Subsequently to that event she started to get into the heads on my other children and speak ill of myself and my wife.
A night was arranged to sort out all these issues, but she refused to see that she had acted inappropriately (on these and other occasions) and it didn't end well.

Sometimes you are better of without people like that in your life.
