    Hyphenator

When will the swans realise LRT is shot on skills, talent and ability. Week after week he is so easily outplayed it is embarrassing. He is slow, cumbersome and indecisive. He is not of topgrade standard and should be in a lower grade. Why persist with his substandard performances any longer.
Additionally can someone explain to me why the Swans continue to play so far behind when the opponent is coming out of defence especially following restarts after we have scored a behind. We don't seem to apply any pressure to their defence.

they havent realised that yet about playfair, matthews, spida, et al, so why would they realise it about lrt...so disappointing...effort was there today, unlike last week, but skills weren't...save for a couple of MOL highlights...
"Davis...Davis has kicked 2...he snaps from 40...dont tell me, dont tell me, hes kicked a goal....unbelievable stuff from Nick Davis, can you believe this, he's kicked 3 final quarter goals and Swans are within 3 points..."

If we're being forced to play LRT up forward because of matchup issues, we might as well bring Grundy into the side.

LRT is a liability now - he can't do what he's in the side to do - take the big forwards - hence he has no other purpose.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

I have been a fan of LRT, but he hasn't been the same since his year out with the foot injury. Admittedly he has been played out of position, but Buddy made him look third rate today. I still think he can be a good player, he is just not a good player right now.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Grundy should replace LRT in the side period.

Grundy is a better backman and forward.

all throughout our "successful" times under roos we have lacked a key defender over 192cms who has strength and can take on the big power forwards week in week out.

Leo has battled manfully for a lot of his career, but i dont think he can do it anymore and he shouldn't have to.

Craig Bolton does a magnificent job, but imagine if he had a big strong defender to free him up more.

LRT has seemingly been developed for the role but it has not happened, otherwise he would always be back taking the big roles, not moved to the ruck etc.

What makes me mad is we have never looked to recruit to fill this gap. Why would we chase fev and not a good tall solidly built defender with the same money??

Where are the big young tall defenders coming through?

Guys on SEN said that we needed enough C Boltons to cover all the Hawthorn forwards - couldn't agree more!

I am 100 per cent behind u here. Regulars know that years ago I posted my concerns over our lack of a strong, solid fb. I have never thought on Leo as a fullback. He's done marvellously well playing out of position, but to me, he's a flanker, and we needed to recruit a Mal Michael type of player (who I believe was available about the time Dunks retired). We're looking for forwards to replace MOL and Bazza in the next few years, but our great defence needs bolstering too, expecially as Leo may not have long to go

I thought LRT was OK today.

Nothing special, but then again the Hawks are kinda potent up forward and any team would do well to retrict them to what they scored today.
