No. i am saying that an if an employee acts in a dishonest and devious way in negotiating a future contract with a competitor which can affect the business of the employees employer then we have a breach of contract. And thats pretty much what Davis did

Exhibit A is the NRL, and in particular St George Illawarra, my local club. The negotiations between Gasnier and the French rugby club, mid season, has flattened the morale of the club and i believe have affected their performance. Player shopping during a season, particulary a club in line for the finals, can affect morale, focus and credibility. The club has made it clear that Davis is a required player this season for the duration of his current contract. The negotiations with Carlton apparently took place before he was injured and just before we played them in a crucial game. Any club tolerating such a situation would have its cedibility affected in the eyes of its supporters, the core business of a football club, and their opponents, who compete for market share and results. Any player ditto.

At the aftermatch Chairman's function last night, Craig Davis (Father of Nick) was presenting some awards for the legend's game. At the end he said, "I do not want to sound controversial, however, Nick wants to stay with the Sydney Swans, I want Nick to stay with the Sydney Swans and I hope everyone here wants Nick to stay with the Sydney Swans!" At which there was a muffled cheer / response.
