He's got 200 and he only deserves a spot if he is in the best 22 or is a prospect for the future. He is neither.

he slotted a beauty in the 4th from about 40 out on an angle. Im pretty sure he's not content with his goalkicking record, but in general play he was immense after half time today.

Boys obviously very pumped to huddle up in the red and white ring of love at the end of the game.
Jolly and Jude got us back into that game. Bloody sensational job.
I'm not convinced on Spida. I think the game has past him - he is going to get shown up against better opponents.
Bird is going to be a very very very good player.
Goodes is clearly not fit as that was a very odd performance from him for 3 qtrs but I think he needs to play through the fwd line more if MOL is out.

Moore's 3rd Q was very good. He ran to space and worked very hard in close.

What I liked about Bird was he looked to have a lot more game time and was very good in the hot last Q. His second efforts really stood out.

He has played off the wing the last 2 games and finds himself in space all the time. The time in the 2nd Q when he drifted down forward for a mark and then perfectly weighted a kick to McVeigh was 100 game stuff.

Great game to watch, good win - this is the third close win this year (WC, Port Adelaide, Carlton).

During the game I thought I was watching a changing of the guard, Carlton on the way up, Swans on the way down - but happily that time is still a while off.

My only fear is that we have to improve 20% or so on that form/effort to challenge the better teams and we might be running low on personnel.

the contrast in the "stars" of each team was interesting. Judd does so much of the hard work unlike someone else i could name.

He is still such a classy player, i think as the mids around him develop and he gets his body 100% carlton are gonna be a pretty good side.

I thought Murphy was pretty good and that goal on the run was a pearler. He does seem to do a lot of his work around half back/centre. Now showing the hype bestowed on him when he was drafted.

Others have not been excused from a lack of chasing and effort in the past, he was pathetic most of the game, not just the lack of possies, but the way he would just watch gibbs create play and work off him.
Don't agee, didn't play in the midfield at all which suggests he was carrying something and form behind the goals in the last it was very noticable that he wasn't able to change direction quickly at all.

But when we needed him in the last he made it happen for a goal and a couple of assists.

                          Injuries almost wiped us out!
ROK played on after rolling his anke - had a jab
Micky also an ankle - couldn't run and left the ground
Goodes - def carrying an injury
Leo - Hamstring out for 3-4

That left almost no bench in the last against a young running side.

                          Top effort to overcome.
                          Next week Mel back definitely
                          Leo out for certain

He didn't start once in the centre or a wing.

Granted he drifted into the midfield during play but he was never played as a starting midfielder at any point during the day.

He definitely started the game in the centre square.
