Gritty game by the good looking swan, he's ramping up his aggression, would just like him to keep his arms free like Judd, who is simply remarkable at that.
Terrific game tho, loved his rover like goal.

In the true sense of the game he is a "rover". He even started in the forward pocket.

Fair points ROK but today he was on song. I suspect the good sides will give him a bit more close attention.

I thought he had a very good game today too (from the condensed version shown on ch 7). It is a pity he does not do it more often.

Spot on Nico Ablett was very very good today,he shut down Stevens a bewty and was good around the ground.

Shut downs don't win you games. Playmakers do. B1 was our best at that today.

I notice Kirk isn't mentioned as having a great game, but he did effectively shut down Judd in the second half.

It was important today too coz with Kirk on Judd they couldn't afford to rely on Kirk for our clearances. Jude really stepped up today - and yes it would be good to see it more often.

ROK was good but picked up a lot of cheap posessions across teh back line. Yes drove us well into attack but it would be hard to split him and Bolton as to who did more.

McVeigh was good but not a playmaker like B1 was. A cple of goals doesn't = game winner. Just a good game.

Jolly. H e should smack the crap out of Cloke & Kruezer. Was very good but not anywhere near B1.

Bevan. Great 1st half. Faded a little but wasn't a 4 quarter performance like B1.

The last two, you are kidding yourself. They were OK contributors but nowhere near as good as B1.

He was everywhere in the second half and to say that he got cheap kicks across the backline is well off the mark. When he took that mark and goaled in the last Q he ran from almost the fullback line to get to the opposite pocket at the other end. Plus he rolled his ankle in the 3rd Q, and when he was off we lost momentum.

Votes on 3AW were; 3 ROK, 2 Jolly, 1 McVeigh. Couldn't believe a Carlton player didn't vote. The commentator said one of the best individual performances he has ever seen to win a game.

But we all seem to see games a little differently.

Hard to argue with that Nico. ROK was awesome but so was B1 in the clinches. For mine, ROK was BOG for all the fancy stuff and B1 was BOG for all the "in and under" stuff that isn't quite as glamouros as what ROK was doing. Either way, I'm happy that they were playing for us today!

As for the 3 votes... Well the fact that B1 didn't even get 1 shows how erroneous they can be.

If a team shuts down Rok,Goodes and Tiger we will generally lose.

One of the things that stuffs us up is we dont know when to change to an attacking style of play.We only seem to attack teams that we think we can beat,and we shut down games against the better traveling sides at the time.

The thing I like about B1 is that he gives 110% and doesn't stop till the final siren goes.His form has been really good of late and yesterday he was really good again.
