Hey, Jude Interview From Inside Footy

Couple of interesting points in the interview.
On possibly being traded...
It gave me a good wake-up call. I think sometimes you can get a little complacent and lax on doing the things during the week that make you a good player. It certainly jolted me and it was the spark I needed at that time in my career.
I grew up in Ballarat and barracked for the Saints and funnily enough they were one of the first teams to show interest in me when I was a kid so I was thinking at the time I might have played with them but Sydney drafted me and it?s been all good.Does God believe in Atheists? -
This is the piece that I like
BC: Sounds like you might stay up in Sydney when your playing days are over?
JB: All my family is down in Melbourne but my girlfriend is from Sydney and my life is fairly set up here. In saying that I?d still like to stay involved in footy in some way so we?ll just see what happens.Comment

"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

When was this written?
You can make of it whatever you want, I suppose. We just know it?s been the best thing for us and with three captains now ? Barry Hall, Brett Kirk and Leo Barry ? it?s working well."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

It poses the question..How would of things panned out if the Swans had drafted Lenny Hayes and Bolton go to the Saints?
Pretty well for the Swans I'd say.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

The names would have been inserted editorially and reflect on Inside Footy's credibility not Jude's.Comment

Always liked Jude and pleased to see him pick up again this season. I recall the comment made by a commentator (can't remember which one) in a match against the Kangas years ago: looks like Jane, plays like Tarzan. May not be our most skilled but a really hard worker.
Incidentally, it focussed a thought that's been in my mind lately: Maxfield looks like a coach-in-waiting, which I'd like to see, but how about Kirk? I'd like that too.
(Edit: I just noticed the same comment in the nmac thread.)He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Just on your Lenny vs Jude comment Ernie...
We should have had both other than some @@@@@@ decided to pick up that Big Brother reject instead as a high draft pick....
Has to be the biggest recruiting stuff up in club history taking that moron over Lenny Hayes!
"We talked five times. I called him twice, and he called me twice."   :D

Fitzy was cruelled by injury and therefore never had the chance to either prove or disprove he was worth the pick.
Biggest recruiting stuff up in history......get a clue.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

Certainly is strange to say Fitzy's knee was a recruiting stuff up.Wasn't he good enough to kick 5 goals in his first game?

Point taken, but 18 games between 2 clubs (and they can treat dodgy ACL's these days) doesn't spell commitment to me."We talked five times. I called him twice, and he called me twice."   :D

Do you also question the committment of Heath James, Stephen Doyle, Wade Chapman and others - all highly talented Swans who were unable to fulfill their potential because their bodies wouldn't let them?Comment
