He laid a few good tackles. His disposal was fairly poor as was his contested situations. I'm hoping that was first game nerves. We'll have a better idea of whether he "looks the goods" after a few more games.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT
his first disposal was a quick handpass under pressure on the forward 50 that resulted in a goal from IRL memory. i have dowloaded the game, so will refer to the tapes.
otherwise yeah, he looked a bit cautious. especially the one where him his man, and Micky and his man were running towards goal with a loose ball, it seemed his first reaction was to go for it, saw Micky had second thoughts, and then tried to lay a sheppard to late. resulted in a turn over.

If it is the same disposal I recall, you are right about the handpass, but it went to Jude, who ran into a tackler and got pinged for HTB. Unless that wasn't his first possession, it was the first one I noticed.
I laughed when I watched Fox Sport news yesterday and overnight when they had the 'Barry Hall is back' stories, every single shot of him at training had MOD a metre away.
When he came out of the race, MOD came out next to him. When he was running laps bouncing a ball, MOD was running laps next to him. When he was leaning on the fence having a giggle, MOD was giggling next to him.
They're obviously good mates as well as housemates, Hall asking to go to Melbourne to watch his debut and all.
It just amuses me, it has a touch of 'Spike' the bulldog and 'Chester' the terrier in the old Looney Tune cartoons.....
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09

Thats the speed of the game. What i liked was he kept at it and did the Bevopercenters - tackled well and chased.
