      Bird will be a gun.

Painful to have to play Adelaide....

Is Hall not running fast enough or is every player deliberatley kicking the ball 1-2 metres short?

No forwards, but we go into the game with Matthews. Maybe Brennan up forward would have been a bit smarter. At least he can take a mark. Hall can't mark to save himself.

As Goodes is obviously injured, why not throw him in the square at FF? Give him some space. He might take a mark or two and create few freak goals ALA Micky.

He might even be able to milk a free or two. Worth a try as he clearly can't sustain anything beyond 20 metres. I've said it for years, try Kennelly up forward cause that's where I reckon he could really do some damage.

Otherwise we are heading for a very boring defeat.

Roosy may have to throw the switch to Malcolm Blight level at half time ie: do something zany and see if it comes off.

                What makes you think that?

His pace, his skill, or his tackling ability - or lack of. I don't doubt his guts as he has plenty of that but I would love to be proved wrong.

At half time, the total effective disposals from these players - Kirk, J Bolton, O'Keefe, Bevan, Jolly, C Bolton, Hall and Goodes - is just 31, while they've had 34 ineffective disposals.

Hall reciprocated though with a woeful pass to Moore that fell at least 2 metres short. By the way when was the last time Hall made a lead and ducked back into the goal square on a lead, never. Backs just play him on a break now.

I think that's where he's spent most of the first half.

Agree on Bird, his field kicking has a long way to go, but he is only 18.

On the plus side, Adelaide were leading at half time in 4 of their past 5 losses. Their second halves have been poor - only 23 goals kicked against opponents' 37 goals. Our second halves are generally pretty good.

I don't doubt you could have said the same thing about Kirk when he was 19.
Christ, of those the only one the Captain is better than average in the league, even now he's in his thirtys is tackling. He's still a gun.

Kicking into forward 50 is absolute garbage!

If Hall doesn't smash someone tonight then the psychologist has done a great job.
