Oooh thats intelligent - if you're from NSW you mustn't know a thing about footy as you all play 'rugby' up there. That sort of thinking makes me angry and it usually comes from Collingwood supporters....

Paul Roos has said as much in the past about LRT, that his development is many years behind players who grew up playing the game.

I enjoy your optimism and confidence. But I reckon we are in for an old style thrashing, our forward defensive pressure is terrible and wont stand up to the doggies. But hey I hope i will eat humble pie.

Tend to agree. Reading between the lines of Roos' most match comments about needing to field a healthy team, I wonder how many of our players are carrying injuries other than the ones we know about?

Kieren Jack may not be injured, but hey looks flat as a tac, exhausted most likely.

I'd be absolutely amazed if the 'Dogs 'thrash' us. We would've beaten them earlier in the year if we'd taken our opportunities.

Pretty confident we'll handle them this time around.

                As for the changes:

                Out: Mathews, Playfair, Goodes
                IN: Smith, Brennan, Malceski

How far away is Micky? Anyone know?

I wouldn't be expecting him back for at least a month.

I'm not sure on what you base your confidence on. Perhaps a full strength Swans side but not one decimated through injury.

In recent years the Swans have relied on a very small injury list to stay among the top teams. Roos himself has said on the weekend that you need a healthy team to be competitive. We clearly aren't healthy at the moment and don't have the depth to cover.

On Sunday we face the prospect of missing about a third of our best 22 players - Goodes, MOL, Malceski, Leo, Playfair, Davis and Buchanan (susp). Add to the list the fact that ROK is playing injured (although still producing career best football), Kennelly must be far from 100% and who knows who else.

The Dogs aren't stuttering as bad as some on here seem to think. There's no shame in losing to Geelong and Carton were red hot in the last quarter yesterday.

True, but it will be interesting to see what it does to their psyche. This week is a huge game for both clubs.

We haven't had an 'old style thrashing' since 2004 and it won't happen this week.

We've got a shocking record against Adelaide and Roos fails to change anything against them and Collingwood. In my opinion, we lost to the Crows because of the way we played, not because of the personnel. You'll see a totally different game this week and we might actually get something out of Hall.

Sure, the injuries are a concern but I think we'll still have enough good players to get home.

We've got a good record in Canberra and against the 'Dogs. They were very flat in the 2nd half yesterday and look ripe for the picking.

Didn't they have a bye. I'm sure I read that somewhere here.
