Well he certainly helped to win the game against Carlton with his two goals, guess they thought he could do likewise to Crows, but when you are further injured yu can't even handball accurately.

This is true, however, his walkabouts rarely see him get less than 10 touches (from memory).

        He is clearly struggling.

Goodes' impact last week was minimal and was zero this week. Either Goodes is injured or he's having a poor patch of form or some combination of both. I think the injury is the major issue given he can hardly run. He needs to have some time off. Problem is that we will struggle to win without him.

Don't know so much about that - Bulldogs lost to Carlton and we beat Carlton. A fit Swans team could be as good as either Hawthorn or Carlton.

And how much time did he spend forward? There is no doubt he was comprehensively owned while playing in the midfield against the Blues, but when he went forward he had an immediate impact, kicking two goals and creating a few more. So, when Goodes was selected, the plan would have been that if Goodes again struggled in the midfield early, they would send him forward straight away, which is exactly what happened. Unfortunately, it didn't work second time around.

He is clearly injured. The plan to play him forward was OK but he needed to have the pill put on his chest. The midfield was under so much pressure this didn't happen.

Is it a case of Roos creating another Crouch?

A huge number of games in a row - playing through injuries etc, stop for one week, never play to his previous standard again.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Actually Crouch could be back in aboutr 2 weeks (thats what he said to us on Saturday night) he is looking fit and is hopeful of making the seniors again.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

the failure to play fit players even if they have less talent versus playing injured stars puts the blame squarely upon the team selectors.....we are 4th by default and are going to continue to be flogged.....will be lucky to stay in the 8. matthews is finished/ davis badly treated and probably to be traded/spida did nothing....time to put the broom thru the squad and rebuild. the only bright note is the form of rok, jack, moore, kirky, richards, the boltons &jolly.

I'd welcome him back. He has received poor press on this forum.

I don't think it was a poor coaching decision.
I blame Goodesy wholly and solely.

                            Yes, he's played 204 games in a row. You're a friggin hero.

But to what expense? His body breaks down when we need him most?

FFS, if you have a "niggle" in the groin son, GO TO THE DOCTOR.

Crouchy would still be playing today if he went to the doctor earlier.
