oh yeah, dog of a game. Yet another dog of a game where TheHood hosts an overease first timer to a Swans Shocker. In fact, it has to be stated yet again that it WILL BE THE LAST TIME I HOST.

The first time was what is known as the Ricky Mott Classic from 2002 where his extrodinary fitness and skill lost us the game at Telstra against the Dons.

Since then, several miserable games against Adelaide and Collingwood in Sydney have seen me red faced and cranky after shuttling foreigners into the promised land only to break that promise time and again.

That was the worst game of football i have seen in a long time. So many players dogged it i thought at one stage they where deliberately trying to lose!


LRT just kept refusing to move the ball quickly and all of them kept kicking the ball to the wings instead of getting it in early to the forwards. it happened all night so roos is as guilty as the players for not putting a stop to it early. what was going wrong was so obvious yet nothing changed.

mcveigh just didnt try... he would just amble up to players and let them get their kicks away with no pressure at all. nick davis was never as bad as him!!
All those fans who turned up should get a refund.

How could we be trying to throw the game? I was there too and don't want my money back. We did have more scoring shots than them and I have never seen so many hit the post in my life. Especially in the last quarter where we usually win games like that. I don't think it's an effort thing, I think the senior players missing caused some disorganisation, especially in the forward line. It's hard to imagine this getting better unless they are prepared to give players alicence to take risks, having done so we cannot vilify them for taking risks which lead to turnovers

Trade our two best players?

I thought that their performance was not unexpected.

In my opinion I would trade both Hall and Goodes. Goodes because he is close to 30 and we can still get good trades. Especially in a good upcoming draft.

Trade Hall and Goodes? That is ridiculous, unless Goodes has two irrepairably broken legs, I want to see him finish his career with the bloods, leading from the front, along with Kirk, ROK, Leaping Leo. These guys have been and still are the backbone of the side. Take the backbone out and things get wobbly

We were in a corporate box on Saturday night - the host stood up at the half time speech and apologised for the less than entertaining game! Then yesterday - all from here who attended received a bottle of wine thanking us for coming along!!! which I thought was very nice - but a bit odd. But to be honest, about 60% of those in attendance got jack of such a rotten game and they retreated into the warm room with big screen telly and proceeded to watch the rugby. But not me - nooooooooooo, I stuck it out with the red and white - drank more than I normally would of course, but I didnt give up on them. Pity the boys didnt return the favour for the Swans fans that turned up in good faith.

LOL - I dont think the sponsors are that generous, although I reckon the other 26ooo (minus the crows supporters of course) deserved something. We can make full use of our three drink vouchers tonight at the trivia extravaganza!!

It was par for the course when Sydney plays Adelaide I'm afraid. All our recent games have been utter horrors, with the frigging fruit tingles winning nearly every time even on the SCG.
