Crouch may be back in a few weeks - he seems hopeful. he's also bring out his own wine label - should be available in about 3 weeks time.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Mmmmmmm, Crouch v Aker, and Aker's had a couple of shockers in the last 2 weeks. Would certainly get into his head.

@@@@ me Crouch back no thankyou very much. Was 25 yards off the pace last year, would be 50 yards off the pace if he came back. I was a fan of him in his heyday, but that is a long way past and he would only be another passenger in the team and we had more then our share of them on saturday night.

Hmm a passenger thats interesting. No1 has seen how fast he is in a while and i reckon he is fitter than ever includung when he played in the 2005 GF and finals series. So i didnt see any1 complaining bout him then so i reckon if he is fit and up for selection lets see what miles he has left in his legs for next season.

Given he's 30 and effectively out of the game for over 2 years I can't see he will have a heap to contribute unfortunately. The game's pace will have passed him by. I can only see him being brought in if we are desperate because of injuries.

Yeh but then he hadnt missed most of 2 years and had bad injuries back in 2005 had he? Did you not see him when he played last year??? He was fit but was that far behind the game it wasnt funny. He was slow, cumbersome and a shadow of his former self. Considering the game has sped up a couple more notches since then I cant see how being super fit will help him. It would take him a good 2 months to find true match fitness anyway, and well we just cant afford that in 2008.

And if he is still around in 2009 then SSFC are going about things the wrong way, for if anything this year has shown that we need to clear out some older players (No matter what the final result is) and get more youth into our team so that our down period is not too long and we can quickly rebuild our squad for another tilt for the flag in a few years time. Crouch should be on his bike along with Matthews and possibly Leo Barry and Barry Hall.

Are you like his personal trainer/brother/mother/father/best friend/dog's 8th cousins owner/Bloke that waves to him on his morning jog/his Postman/Pamphlet Delivery guy/Pizza Delivery guy/his surgeon/Swans fitness guru or something??? I havent seen such staunch defending of him for a long while thats all!!

Actually no i dont live in sydney and i am no relation/friend of his i just like him as a player and a bloke and defend him cos i believe he is worth defending. And i know you are not arguing on whether he is a good bloke or not. you are looking to the future and i do understand your stanse but imo he should be given 1 last crack at it like Mathews or Hall if thats what you believe. Sorry i wont defend him any more!
