The problem with Saddington was the coaching staff of both the swans and the blues. For some reason, they all thought he was a key position player(defender) and was able to take on a big forward and unfortunatley for him was beaten time and time again, I mean, I remember a game against the crows in adelaide in 03 I think it was and Carey beat him comprehensively and Carey was absolutely shot by this stage of his career. Saddington was nothing more than a very good tall wingman who could take a grap( against and over other wingmen), with a silky kick as well, but coaches kept playing him at full back and centre half back and subsequently ended his career, cause he wasn't built for this position. If they kept him on the wing, he would have ended a very useful player indeed.
Where are they now, and do you miss them?

Wade Chapman....loved the way he played, what could of been.
Jon Stevens....arched the back and took off like a startled bunny everytime he got the ball, great to watchWhenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

It was those soup ads he did with Plugger way back when that REALLY killed off his career. The problem with Saddington was the coaching staff of both the swans and the blues. I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"Comment
