Talk about the persistently injured Stephen Doyle and other ex-Swans who have been lured to SA, led me to think: could you actually create a team of former Swans' players running around in the SANFL? Well, no. Not yet. But you can make a team (near enough to) if you throw in ex-SA players who are now at the Swans. Here goes:

Backs: Matt Davis, Gerard Bennett, Scott McGlone
Half-backs: Jared Crouch, Sam Rowe, Martin Mattner
Centres: Jarrad Sundqvist, Nic Fosdike, Josh Willoughby
Half-forwards: Josh Thewlis, Heath Grundy, Trent Goodrem (honorary ex-Swan)
Full-forwards: Stephen Doyle, Michael O'Loughlin, Simon Phillips
Rucks: James Meiklejohn, Tim Schmidt, Andrew Hayes
Interchange: Earl Shaw on his lonesome.

I'm sure someone can point out people I've missed.

Fleshing out the team means: Sydney, start some really aggressive delisting (or drafting SA blokes) at the end of this year.

A conveyor belt seems to run between Sydney and the Parade: I count Doyle, Fossie, Crouch, Grundy, Phillips and Lewis.
