Paul Bevan = Swans most valuable player?

Not quite, but I thought he was excellent tonight, and that mark with a minute to go was almost match-saving, let alone being unbelievably courageous.

    Time for some Bevo love!

An awesome effort to mark that ball in the danger zone, I wanted to run out and congratulate him on the spot, like my under 14 coach used to do at Henley beach High School.

It was certainly the largest roar he has ever received from a Swans crowd.

He has been truly fantastic this season. I will admit that last season I was wondering why he is in the team. His confidence was down, his kicking was often disgraceful in defence. He gave NOTHING to the side, especially considering the players of similar size & build we have in the club.

But hasn't he been awesome this season. He has been crashing into packs like he always has, but has generally been great in our build-ups out of defence. Has been all the more important given the absence of Leo Barry & Nick Malceski.

I'm waiting for Connolly to reply to this thread. Every time Bevo did something well against Carlton Swantastic would yell out "Great work Connolly".

will never be the most valuable in the team, does the grunt work, the work a few more should do, but you wouldn't build a side around him

Superb effort - I can't think of another player in that team whom I would've preferred going for that mark.

Saw his mark on the footy show this morning.
It was an excellent grab considering the pressure of the situation at the time, but nothing he hasn't done before.
