Bevan has some negatives (purely from watching him closely live on Sat night):

    Kicking skills
Judgement as to whether to go up or stay down in a marking contest
Hesitancy in playing on after taking a mark in clear space
Holding on in tackles long after the player has disposed of the ball
Maintaining both vision of ball location and control of designated opponent in contested ball situations
General lack of confidence in himself and lack of peripheral vision

A lot of these are intricacies of the game that those who haven't played or have come into the game in adulthood may not look for, but they are vital to winning 50/50 contests and hence most games.

I don't care how many couragous marks any player takes running backwards near the end of the game, or what your last memory of a game is, if you cost goals throughout the game because you invariable get beaten in key one-on-one contests, you are a liability.
I played the game in primary school. And actually graduated to adulthood. You confuse judgement re. options and skill level. Bevan is a young player who makes, as all young players do, judgement errors. These gradually improve through experience. When was he beaten in a one on one contests invariable this year? No opponent has kicked more than 2 goals or got more than 10 possessions on him FOR A SEASON FFS.

Agree completely. Bobby Skilton would trounce Mathews both as a human being and a footballer. A truely great sportsman.

why ? aren't you a member?? all members with their key ring medalions can get into the after match be it at the MA Noble or the Club at the Cross. and its not a junket - you just have to jostle for a decent spot and get a drink early otherwise the bar is too crowded.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

This is getting complicated. Was a family member before the relationship break up. She got the membership. Micky Rooney who was married seven times said his property was always split 50/50. The sheilas always got the inside of the house and he got the outside. She always handled the membership details. Fair dinkum she never told me about the drinks under the grand stand. Feel dudded.

That stat is incorrect. Have a look at the Prospectus from this year.

ok - fair enough. Well ring the membership dept and get on the list for next year (mind you I dont know if the list will be that long seeins as our numbers have dwindled a bit)

But at least you got Bevo wagon. Do you think maybe though that could have been the source of the problems? After all she would have felt like a third wheel (hmmm... perhaps the Bevo wagon has only 2 wheels - that would explain a lot).

Bevan played as Sydney's No.1 stopper in the back half last year, successfully shutting down the likes of Leon Davis, Jeff Farmer, Kayne Pettifer, Aaron Davey and Nathan Buckley. He conceded just 10 disposals per game and only 13 goals in total, and never more than two in a match. Bevan was a member of Sydney's 2005 Premiership team

You may be on to something. She was never very keen on Bevo as a matter of fact. Very impressed with Jude. Davo was probably the only thing we agreed on at the end. Not enough in the house of pain and when the chips were down.

Hmm - have you sought therapy for this obsession with Bevo? It could prove beneficial later should there be another "she" in your life! Or you have it put in a pre-nup "you will love Bevo or else its not happening".

I've toyed with giving that speed dating a go. The "Whadda ya think of Bevo" would certainly be up there in the first three questions. Question 2 would be: "Ya got supa" Question one can't be repeated here. But all good points and thanks for the tip.
