    Who????
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

yeeeesssss, I remember him, we used to call him "commando" in reference to the character named Bennett in the Arnie movie. i think he was played by some second rate Aussie actor.

        Another great from Geelong.

He has never finished lower that fourth in the Knuckey Cup and has been a regular member of our leadership group.

Says it all. That Knackery Cup is a killer!

He was awesome in every Port Melbourne game I went to see. He also took upwards of a dozen marks in an AFL game, as I recall. One of my favourite players in recent times.

I remember Gerald Bennett hit his highest note for the Swans in early 2002, with a particular good game against Carlton at Princess Park in Round 2 that year.

That's the one I was thinking of. 18 touches, 12 marks, a few hit-outs. \o/ Then they left him on the bench for the next five weeks, and dropped him for Doyle.

Was also the match where Ricky Mott made a name for himself.

Bazza kicked about 6 as well i think.

Baz kicked 7. Carlton kicked 4. That was a great day.

No, Mott got 38 hit-outs in the first round, on debut. That was a Swans record, too.

To be honest I wasn't even aware Gerard Bennett was still playing anywhere.
