Ahh... look this is just going to happen more and more people, as people realise that AFL is a game of the future. I think its cool. This is a big litmus test...

"Roos has lost it" = unnecessary. I think that's what RP is trying to get at.

Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, this is the equivalent of trading for a 200cm tall 26 year old who can run 100 in less than 11 seconds for a draft pick we would have passed on anyway (or in other words, nothing), two years from now. Who cares how good he winds up being, we're giving nothing for him, not even a space on our rookie list, and if he doesn't come up with the goods, well, we just don't elevate him.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Maybe we can sign up Sonny Bill Williams if he flops in rah rah?! We can rub the NRL's noses in it twice

Bugger the rugger stealing all the best players, let's start raiding both union & league for players who can kick properly (I mean LRT has been a successful convert hasn't he?! ) A lot of Riverina athletes do a Kelly and swap from one to the other anyway.

Maybe we should be scouring the NSWRL Premier League for talented player with good kicking & marking skills. Or Sydney & Brisbane club rugby? A few of those union forward who jump in those lineouts may prove interesting as well. (Like the Swans need ANOTHER Frankenstein 200cm CHB lumbering out of defence! ) The backs are used to kicking the pill and often can use both feet.

The thing is, can we actually find an NRL player who can actually kick with both feet? Any players who play union or league who you reckon who have the potential to play Aussie Rules?

At one stage I thought I read that he was an Australian living in Canada..or was I imagining that????? So he will have heard of AFL at least and maybe seen it etc.

Ironic that he comes from Victoria.

This bloke from West Bromich Albion should be snapped up. Strong in the tackle and plenty of toe. Supports the red and white.

Foxsports had footage of him scoring an intercept try vs the All Blacks - pretty impressive for a big fella, tho might be more of a challenge if he has to bounce it every 15m.

Frankly, I got more excited when I saw Greg Inglis say his career was "up in the air" after his current contract was up - now there's a target for the Swans!

I don't know why anyone would kick up a stink about this, we don't have anything to lose. I want to see more of this and hopefully he'll be a good player for us.

His name is just a bonus

The bloke is Australian, it says so on the article just underneath the video footage of him scoring the try. I love how all of the smaller countries who compete in World Cups in cricket and Rugby are just expat Aussies who would have no chance had they stayed in Australia....maybe it is time for me to bowl my tweakers in the world powerhouse of cricket that is Bermuda!

Yes!! I have often found myself wishing that we had been the ones to thrown a heap of money at Lote to switch codes...he is a great talent and I reckon he would have made it in Aussie Rules. One of the few rugby/league players I actually would have liked to see in a Swans jumper.

Re the Canadian, bit of a gamble, but why the hell not, he's only rookie-listed so it's not like we have a whole lot invested in this guy.

Ben Hudson would have been close.

When you say it quick, 200cm sort of goes straight over your head, so to speak, but when you see this footage, you realise what a big fella this guy is.
