Veszpremi VS Rioli

I know this has kind of been done to death but I was really keen on Rioli for our first pick and I think it'll be very interesting to watch the careers of these two quality players.

You can't observe much in half a season of footy, or 2 games in the case of Veszpremi, but that doesn't mean we can't speculate and discuss.

Who do you believe will be the better player or do you think they'll be on the same level? Please don't just give a name, explain your opinions/choices. Thanks

Too early to tell. Plus they seem to be playing different roles.

Will be interesting to see if Vez gets a Rising Star nom next season...

I went the Prez, though it IS ridiculously early to speculate. I went for him purely because Rioli looks like the typical indigenous footballer: mercurial, magical, able to turn nothing into something time and again, but inconsistent. While Vespa isn't as freakishly skilled or mercurial as Rioli, what I've seen indicates a guy who will be a consistent highly valuable contributor.

Vez looks like a real footballer, while both talented it appears he was always more highly rated than Rioli, that could of course be wrong. I would surmise Vez will have a longer overall career, though of course Rioli is currently in a much stronger squad.

But it is VERY early days..... Ves probably hasn't had the same oppurtunities either.

Will people get over this! We have Ves and they have Rioli. Aint going to go back in time and change it. Who knows at the current stage who will be better?

Why do people insist on repeating something that was mentioned in the first post? I did say that you can't observe much in half a season of footy, so why bother posting stuff like "Bit early mate" etc.

It's so other people who read the opinions know that the poster is aware it's all very early. I gave up assuming everybody reads the first posts of threads properly long ago.
