White isn't ready for senior football.

If he plays, then he has to play in the backline, probably in LRT's position. We can't be a competitive AFL side if more than one player is still learning the game.

            Hammo ,
            Spidas past AFL Footy mate.
Push the kids and while White has some form from last week which is on par as Spidas form right now , he is worth the punt as Jollys backup.
Spida was better last week , though we need to win and Id rather go with a kid who has more going for him than Spida does right now.
Collingwood will be hard at it Saturday and Spida cant run ,kick , bend.
Is White ready ?? We dont know. give him a go though I rekon.
Is Spida finished ? I think he is

Spida's obviously not the player he was but I still think we'll get more out of him than Jesse White.

Don't agree with your view on Brennan. His short kicking is his only obvious weakness. Answer: Kick it long or handball it.
Grundy is slow and plays without intensity. Not a great recipe for high stakes games (ie finals). I agree Leaper is the obvious replacement, but if he's still out, then anyone with pace who will have a crack would be more useful.
LRT was OK last week, so without Leaper he'll have to do, but his decision making and disposal are ordinary at best.
Spida has done FA this season. Give young White a go as backup, he's coming off a 7 goal haul in Canberra.

You're right - it really seems that when he is kicking short (whether to a teammate or at goal) he stabs at the ball rather than kicking through it, so unsurprisingly it has a tendency to miss its target. Should be quite fixable I would have thought.

Does he have same problem with short kicking in Ressies? is it a performance anxiety issue due to real/perceived pressure in seniors?

I don't know as I haven't seen him in the reserves, but he has kicked a few bags there so nerves may be a factor.

Out with Spida and get LRT helping out in the ruck, Hally inside 50. Jack and Vespremi back into the side, Crouch may be injured, and Ablett maybe could use a week or two off. Grundy should be traded or delisted, he's not cutting it.

Brenno is just a lousy kick, short or long. One game at Ainslie, he took three saving marks in succession and each time hit up an Ainslie target with his attempted pass. It was so bad that day that he got the Bronx cheer when he finally delivered an accurate pass. I feel for the guiy becuase he obviously knows that his crap disposal may well result in his copping the sword, and that pressure may also be having some effect.

Grundy has worked himself up to a decent pace for a big man, and plays with high intensity. I have been extremely impressed with what I've seen of Grundy since he has returned to the side this year, and I was among those saying he would never make it early this year.

As impressed as you are, I'm equally unimpressed. He can take an ok mark, and has good disposal skills but thats about it. He plays with high intensity. Certainly don't agree with you there.
