Roos becomes longest serving coach inswans 134 year history

Cant believe no one has mentioned this yet, but this weekend game against Collingwood marks Paul Roos becoming the longest serving coach of the swans of all time, passing Rodney Eade. If the boys dont get over the line in this one, than I'm afraid its going to be a long time until we beat Collingwood again.

Congratulations to Roos. And hopefully we can top it off, with a win over the most hated of enemies, Collingwood.

Our two most recent coaches have been our longest serving when it doesn't really seem like we've had either of them all that long. Doesn't say much for the transit lounge the coaching job has obviously been for the 125 or so years prior to Rocket coming on board!

Good on Roosy though. Nice work.

I like Roosey - I think he has left a mark on footy and footy coaching. I like his calm attitude - its such a good example of self control that really is lacking. He obviously has excellent ways of dealing with stress and doesnt need to go off like some other coaches do, spitting the dummy. That sort of stuff is just not good for young people to see...

Stability key to Swans success - Eade

Quote from Roos on the record:
Last week I levelled the record and this week I suspect I will break it, because I've got the total support of the board at the moment unless something happens between now and Saturday.

                  Thanks Paul,
Not only are you a deadset spunk, you are a top bloke and coach.
I'm glad you came to the Swans so long ago and I hope you stay around and help us build our club into an AFL powerhouse.
I really really really hope that the team dig deep and pull out a bloods moment and they smack the pies to honour you.
Wishing you a good night and hope noone steals the snakes.
P.S. Please give Davo another chance
