Not a prayer, get the young blokes in there, only way to learn to play senior footy is to play senior footy

He is way over the hill and has just about hit the bottom on the other side.

One of the softest and over rated footballers going around. Darren Jolly must be having a chuckle to himself right now.

        No way on White

He was at his best in our premiership year, I can't see value here.

It all comes back to the development vs premiership tilt argument, what is the choice. We'd be far better off chucking Currie in and trying to get a relatively young talented midfielder, and potentially using Spida as a ruck coach/advisor as I have it on good word that he is committed to working with the Swans beyond playing days

Too old, use by dates even on ruckmen these days. Spida has been a disappointment to me, White would be a waste of time. It would however, be nice to see him play second fiddle to Jolls, but, team fist

It would be confusing with two J. White ruckmen!!
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Depends how often Channel 7 decide to commentate Swans games. I'd feel more sorry for Ox who'll no doubt get confused.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

                      Damn! Beat me to it!

Meh. One White is enough. Currie is apparently going to be ready next year. With Jesse White also a possible stop gap (though clearly more suited to a KP), and with LRT and Richards in the team, we should be fine.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

We need a contingency ruckman. Say Jols goes down with an ACL next year. We are effectively then left with Currie and Jessie White who is not really a ruckman. You couldn't ask a kid and part timers to carry the ruck all season. That being said, I wouldn't pick Jeff White. I'd look for someone big and strong and in the same position Jolly was at Melbourne. Playing third fiddle but having size and a bit of promise. Perhaps that bloke from Geelong who filled in while Blake was out or the bloke at north who played a few games recently.
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

Goldstein? They won't be giving him up, just like we won't give up Currie. He looks like an absolute gun, I reckon. Besides which, he's also a young ruckman, hardly a contingency.

Frankly Playfair would be a better ruck option than Jeff White. At least he can run and knows how to make position.
